Everyone is Welcomed!

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Jesus Christ His only Son, and in the Holy Spirit.

We Trust in God because He loves us and has established a way for us to know Him and enjoy His blessings, although sometimes we are stubborn and rebellious.

God commands us to love one another and do what is good, but we have done what is bad and have broken Gods laws. Eternal Judgement commands us to die for our sin and rebellion, but there is hope. God loves us so much that He gave His only Son to die for our sins and whoever believes in Him will have eternal life.

Jesus Christ came from heaven and Because He loved Us, He gave Himself to pay for our penalties. He was crucified and buried but rose victorious on the third day and any person who believes in this can use His sacrifice to pay for their convictions. Now we can live with Him forever, but we must be sincere with God and ourselves.

With tears we confess that we are sinners and we repent of our sins. With joy we believe the good news and receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. Amen.

In our services, we worship Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. We worship in spirit and in truth as the Word describes.

During our services we worship in many ways. Sometimes in scriptural form, other times spontaneously, other times loud, and at times silently.

This involves music, the Word of God and praise that is sometimes physically and often times verbally.

We are not only responsible for seeking God; In our worship we will be participating greatly in such a way that there will be the possibility that God will speak through you for all of us.

The Word is our source of patterns and principles.

Our objective is to glorify, worship, honor, praise our God, and edify the body of Christ (the church).

This pamphlet will explain the different manifestations of worship in our church and will provide biblical references.

WHY DO WE STAND TO WORSHIP?

“Then the Levites of the children of the Kohathites stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with voices loud and high.” 2 Chronicles 20:19

“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”  Rev. 7:9-10

WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS?

“Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph!” Psalms 47:1

“Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;

Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.” Psalms 98:4

“Let the rivers clap their hands; Let the hills be joyful together before the Lord.” Psalms 98:8

WHY DO WE RAISE OUR HANDS?

“Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord.” Psalms 134:2

“I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” 1 Timothy 2:8

WHY DO WE PRAY OUT LOUD?

“Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!” Psalms 103:1

“After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thundering’s, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!” Revelation 19:1;6

WHY DO WE SING IN TONGUES AND IN ENGLISH?

“For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding.” 1 Corinthians 14:14-15

WHY DO WE WORSHIP IN THIS WAY?

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24

“For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.”  Philippians 3:3

WHY DO WE SING?

“And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:18-19

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16

WHY DO WE PROPHESY?

“Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.” 1 Corinthians 14:1

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.” 1 Corinthians 12:7-10

WHAT IS PROPHESY?

“But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.” 1 Corinthians :14:3

WHY DO WE SPEAK IN OTHER TONGUES AND INTERPRET THEM IN OUR CHURCH?

“Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongue.”  1 Corinthians 14:39

“But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all…To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Corinthians 12:10

“I wish you all spoke with tongues, but even more that you prophesied; for he who prophesies is greater than he who speaks with tongues, unless indeed he interprets, that the church may receive edification.” 1 Corinthians 14:5

“If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret.”  1 Corinthians 14:27

WHY ARE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS PART OF THE SERVICE OF PRAISE?

“Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the flute and harp! Praise Him with loud cymbals; Praise Him with clashing cymbals!”     Psalms 150:3,5

“And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of thunder. And I heard the sound of harpist playing their harps.” Revelation 14:2

WHY DO WE DANCE DURING THE SERVICE OF PRAISE?

“Then David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod.”  2 Samuel 6:14

“Let them praise His name with dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbral and harp.”  Psalm 149:3

“A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” Ecclesiastes 3:4

WHY DO WE IMPOSE HANDS, ANOINT WITH OIL AND PRAY FOR HEALING?

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sin, he will be forgiven.” James 5:14-15

WHY ARE THERE PEOPLE WHO FALL IN THE SPIRIT DURING THE SERVICE?

“Indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying: “For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.” 2 Chronicles 5:13-14

“Yet I heard the sound of His words; and while I heard the sound of His words I was in a deep sleep on my face, with my face to the ground.” Daniel 10:9

“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me: Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.” Revelation 1:17

“Now when He said to them, “I am He”; they drew back and fell to the ground.” John 18:6

WHY DO WE, THE CHURCH PRAY FOR SPECIFIC NECESSITIES WITH AUTHORITY?

“Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.”  Acts 12:5

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast our demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:17-18
